Evaluation Purpose

The evaluation plan is designed to measure the effectiveness of the initiative in increasing participants' knowledge, confidence, and awareness of healthy relationships, domestic violence prevention, and community resources.

Success Indicators

At the conclusion of the first year, the initiative aims to achieve:

  • 24 educational workshops delivered

  • 750–1,000 participants reached

  • At least 12 active community partnerships

  • 85% of participants demonstrating increased knowledge on post-assessments

  • 90% participant satisfaction with workshop content and delivery

  • Increased requests for additional workshops and educational programming

Welcome to the Community Domestic Violence Prevention & Healthy Relationships Initiative.

My name is Sterling Persons, and for many years I have served my community through corrections, crisis intervention, peer support, child advocacy, and as a volunteer Crisis Specialist with Lake County CASA. I also had the privilege of serving for four years as State President of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.), advocating for the safety and well-being of children.

I am now working toward Domestic Violence Certification so I can provide free, trauma-informed education to youth, families, schools, churches, and community organizations throughout Northwest Indiana.

This page exists to educate, inspire, and connect our community through practical information about healthy relationships, abuse prevention, and available resources.

Together, we can help prevent violence before it begins by empowering young people with knowledge, skills, and hope.

Thank you for joining this mission to build safer, stronger communities.

‍ ‍Your Investment

Your investment will do more than support my professional certification—it will help establish a sustainable prevention program that benefits youth, parents, schools, faith communities, and nonprofit organizations. During the first year, I plan to conduct at least 24 educational workshops, establish partnerships with community organizations, and reach 750 to 1,000 participants with practical, life-changing education.
